Kishin Shinoyama at Tomio Koyama Gallery

The Japanese answer to David Bailey, Kishin Shinoyama, may lack the rough edge of the former, but his early works just like Bailey's, have captured the very essence of anxiety-free '60s. Still active today he has enjoyed a very successful career and took countless iconic portraits since, but his sensual, deeply imprinted in collective consciousness period B&W photographs, now on display at 8/ ART GALLERY/ Tomio Koyama Gallery, are without a question remain the blueprint for his later works. Through November 12th.
