Sandy Kim: Can't hold on
Tokyo's “power spot,” The Last Gallery, is holding one-week only exhibition of a New York-based “it” photographer, Sandy Kim, Can't hold on. Just like other self-absorbed, now well-established, contemporary photographers before her (Nan Goldin and Ryan McGinley are the usual suspects), Kim came to prominence with explicit snapshots of herself, her friends and Girls doing what most young people do—dreaming, having sex and getting high. With everyone paying close attention now, where she will take us next is her biggest challenge yet. Through August 11th.
